Our varied and diverse rides offer picturesque coastal views and spectacular mountain scenery. Experienced guides share this very special area known as Maha’ulepu. Small personalized groups offer a relaxed and memorable horseback experience.

We had a great time on our horseback adventure even though it rained pretty hard for a good portion of the time. Our guide was such a nice man. He did lead us to protection in a grove of trees when it was raining the hardest. It is so refreshing to be out in beautiful nature and riding a horse along the beach and among the trees on the hillside.

I have taken many trail rides, in many different places. I do believe that the CJM tour on Kauai was the prettiest I've ever taken. The scenery was lovely, and Marty, our guide, explained a lot about the flora and fauna there. She was a lot fun, and Fabio, my horse, was charming, as one would expect.

Fantastic way to see the island! We loved getting back into more remote areas not accessible by vehicle, and seeing the pristine beaches and Hollywood movie sites. Marty is a terrific guide! The horses are top notch and impeccably well trained; great for all levels from beginner to advanced. My kids said this was the highlight of our trip. We highly recommend CJM—worth every penny!

It was a great experience. The views were spectacular . Our Guide was a gem for sure! He spoke with each of us in the party and made us feel that we were not just tourists! This was only my second time on a horse, and the horse selected for me was perfect- Mr. Bo Jangles!! This a must ‘do’ on the island! Thank you CJM Stables!!!

We’ve done horseback trail rides with two other ranches on Kauai but the ride with CJM was by far the most scenic. Jim, our guide, was very pleasant and laid back. The horses were very well cared for. Highly recommend CJM Country Stables!
